On the 8th April, the Italian Senator and vice minister of justice Federica Chiavaroli, visited prison of Lanciano. In this prison D’Orsogna Dolciaria has a place dedicated to the production of granules for ice cream. This project was born in 2012 and now it is still going on. A D’Orsogna Dolciaria’s employee is responsible since the beginning of project of the important function to coaching and follow prisoners during production. This project is important and necessary to guarantee the educational functions of custodial sentence. Federica Chiavaroli in this interview expressed her satisfaction to Valerio D’Orsogna about the way his company dedicates a lot of attention to corporate social responsibility and how, inside the factory this practice is fully integrate in a strategic lines of business. It is nearly a year from the beginning of the production, an important acknowledgment that rewards the educational project promoted by D'Orsogna Dolciaria inside one of the biggest prisons in central Italy. In Lanciano's prison (CH), after a strict bureaucratically itinerary and a few months of dedicated training, D'Orsonga Dolciaria opened a department for the production of caramelized nut grains which has received the BRC certificate for high quality levels and product efficiency for global standard food safety.
